The Russian Blues - Ref sheet

Ok so here are the Russian Blues! ^^ They are a group of cats who are purebred Russian Blue or have the Russian Blue breed in their genetics who have been left behind by their owners or felt the need to leave their housefolk for a better life as a couple of these cats have been abused by said owners.

Joseph - Male - Leader
Joseph is the founder of the Russian Blues, in the past he was a street cat, living on trash and dropped food by twolegs on the streets near the mountains. One day he was caught by the animal control in the county and one owner at a time he was brought home and brought back to the pound, basically becoming an unwanted pet. Eventually, when a little girl came in looking for a new pet cat, she looked into his eyes and thought she should be his but as the handler took Joseph out of his cage, the little girl had no idea how to handle a cat and ended up grabbing him by his tail and dropping him on the empty and broken cage below, giving him the scar on his shoulders. He found the chance to escape and ran to the forest, living on the scraps of food he would find at the edge of the trees. He became so lonely but figured it would be better than being handed off again and again time after time by twolegs that just didn't want to keep him.. Until he found Leroy. He is a very old cat, the oldest of the group, his muzzle and eyes turning grey from age.

Leroy - Male - Secondary Leader/Deputy
Leroy is a very large and bulky cat, strong muscles and battlescarred, he is an intimidating cat to most. He has a bandana around his neck from his last owner who had suddenly died from a heart-attack, never meaning to leave his cat to fend for himself. Leroy stayed with his old twoleg until family found out and paramedics as well as a shelter van coming to pick up Leroy and his owner Jerry. Jerry had treated Leroy like a best friend, never leaving him in a cage and only let him sleep in bed with him. Leroy and Jerry were best friends ever since Leroy was a kitten, never being abused and had a nice life in Jerry's home. So when the woman from the shelter brought a cage up to Leroy, he grew scared. He didn't know what a cage was, and feared what it would do. Out of panic, he ran through the house, jumping out of a window from the second floor. From then on, nobody tried looking for him, he was left to fight for his life, finding new ways everyday to survive. He learned to hunt, but never truly grew to understand the best ways to capture prey, so he is naturally skinny. He grew attached to a new ally he found in the woods, and taught him how to hunt to the best of his abilities, and soon a new friendship and trust had been established between Leroy and Joseph. 

Farrah - Female - Loner
Farrah was a lonely cat, left behind by her owners to starve to death, tied up in string and under a pile of garbage inside of the dumpster. When Joseph and Leroy heard her pained cries from the dumpster while looking for some easy meal during the winter, they investigated and found Farrah, taking her in as one of their own and caring to her wounds and hunger. She is not a very open cat and bides by her own rules, but she still confides in her rescuers as well as listen to their words of wisdom or command. 

sarah - Female - Loner
Sarah is a friend of Farrah, but her owners had to move to an apartment where animals were not allowed, and fearful that Sarah would go to a bad home or be put down in a pound, they left her an open bag of food and a jug of water with a large hole cut open in the top that they thought would hold her over for a long time. But eventually raccoons and other creatures broke into the house and ate the food meant for Sarah. Eventually she was forced out of the house by these raccoons and had to travel through the streets before finding a small group of cats behind a restaurant and one of them looked eerily familiar, it was Farrah. After the two cats caught up with what had happened, they had never been closer. 

Nora - Female - Loner
Not much is known about Nora other than she was travelling the woods one day and found the newly named Russian Blues. She is not an open book and shares her past with no one, if you could break her hard outer shell, you would probably be deemed the most persuasive cat in the world. She is a skilled fighter and hunter, but is tired easily. The only clue to her past is the green bandana she bears, showing she used to be a kittypet and her torn ears and cut tail. 

Richard - Male - Loner
Richard is easily traumatized, ever since he was a kit he has been cowardly about every little thing. Whether it be a butterfly or a squirrel, he runs away in fear. He says he doesn't remember much, but when he was a kit he was attacked by the older cat in the house. He was told by his owners that he will be the only cat in the house soon. This angered the older cat, and so he has told the others that the old hag drove him out of the house and gave him that warning scratch on his hind leg to never go back. After that, he became afraid of everything. He was only a kit and forced to travel in the dangers of the mountains, fear around every corner, until he was taken in and cared for by the Russia Blues and their leader Joseph. He is the youngest cat in the group.

Leo - Male - Loner
Leo is one fo the most recent members of the Russian Blues. His story is quite simple actually. One day he wondered what it was like to be in the forest, live like the wild cats he heard so much about. He loved to hunt the robins and blue jays that would fly to his garden, and he would let them go for the fun of catching them again the next day. He didn't really have it in him to kill, he just wanted to see what other creatures he could play with in the forest. So he left for only a little while, but when he came back his twolegs' monster was gone and all the windows and doors were locked. He then realized his twolegs had left him, but what he didn't realize was that they were coming home only a week later. But Leo had already left for good by then. Picking his way through the forest, he found the Russian Blues and kindly asked to join them. A kind and caring cat, his heart is as warm and fluffy as his fur.

Tyler - Male - Loner
Tyler is as loved as he is tall. Being part Siamese, his legs are unusually long but his heart is gentle and he is known as Ty, the soft hearted warrior. Although he is kind and loving while with his comrades, when he is fighting other cats or creatures he is as fierce as a lion. He will protect his friends and family with his life. Tyler was born a loner, travelling the streets with his family, but as he grew older he grew more resentful of his father's orders to attack anything without any thought as to asking why they were in their territory. So he left his brothers and father to go live by his own rules. He knew how to hunt and how to fight, all this kind-hearted cat needed was someone to be with. Soon he found Blue, the love of his life. And together, they traveled to find a rumored group of blue cats in the forest who accept the request of any who want to join them. 

Cleo - Female - Loner
Cleo is a stuck up cat who thinks she is royalty, as she was brought up with twolegs catering to her every whim, at first. Eventually she became so unruly that she was eventually left outside as a punishment, tied up to a metal stick in the ground. But on that rainy night, a fox showed itself from the bushes, licking its chops as it's thin skeleton-like body emerged from the brush. The fox attacked the helpless Cleo, but without claws (as her owners declawed her when she was a kitten) she could not fight back if she wanted. Instead she ran around, avoiding bite after bite until the fox snapped at the rope, releasing her from her deathtrap and giving her the chance to run. The fox was unfit and could not run very fast, left alone run far so Cleo had a break from the danger. She didn't want to stop or look behind her in fear that the fox was still giving chase, until she ran right into Richard, startling him and nearly making him fall unconscious from the surprise. Breathing heavily she tried to explain how she wasn't there to hurt him and begging him not to hurt her, but all Richard did was screech in fear and panic until Joseph and Leo and Sarah came to investigate the scene. Bringing in their newest member. 

Fluffy - Male - Loner
First off, Fluffy hates his name. Ever since he was a kitten his littermates would make fun of him, and as they grew up his siblings would find different ways why his name is so demeaning. Before he ran away from the torture, his name meant fluffy as "fat and slow" and "Soft heart/weakling". His family was a group of purebred Russian Blue cats, and a group who knew nothing of mercy or negotiation. They only knew of becoming strong and feared. So when Fluffy didn't look up to their barbaric views, he ran off and found friends who understood him. The Russian Blues gave him a name that most call him by, Soren. But some still tease him with the name Fluffy because of how much fur he has. 

Blue - Female - Mother
Blue is a very kind cat, very understanding and humble. She always looks for a way other than violence as she was brought up by a mysterious cat named Les. Blue was left on the street only a day after birth with her siblings in a box on the sidewalk that read "Free kittens to good home!" She was the last of the litter to remain in the box. All the rest of her unknown siblings had been taken home by twolegs. And one night, a kindly cat who couldn't bear kits had taken her by the scruff and brought her to the mountainside to survive as a loner of the clans. Blue knows about the rules of the clans that survive in the mountains and forests, and knows to avoid them. She learned from Les how to hunt and how to fight, One day she unknowingly crossed Darkclan's borders and was injured on the way out in an attempt to escape their dangerous claws. Eventually her guardian, Les, died of old age and Blue was left to fend for herself, wearing the collar Les used to bear, using it as a lasting memory of her closest friend and only known family. And when she met Tyler, a cat who had the same kind heart as Les, and his views of the world and how others should be treated and how his life has been, it amazed her and she loved listening to stories he made up, and wondrous tales he made up for their kits. He was one in a million mate to her, and the best father she could have ever wished for her kits.
